I feel guilty shopping for myself in December, but when I saw one of my dream bags listed in a 72-hour sale event on eBay for 57% off, I couldn't resist. Seriously, she's even been listed on my Pinterest wish list board for quite some time now!

How am I just now hearing about this? Apparently, the Harrod's store in Knightsbridge, England featured a Disney Princess "pop-up" boutique, complete with a Cinderella Glass Slipper Salon and a Disney Princess dress-up area. I had heard about the incredible designer display windows but not this. Oh well... It's not as if I would have flown across the Atlantic Ocean to see it anyway... ;P

Sometimes, I can't help myself and I find myself lusting over things that someone in their twenties probably should not. Usually, it's something Disney, cute or girly, or in this case, all of the above. Behold, the new Disney princess bear from Build-a-Bear:

Now, I don't know about you, but I definitely do not remember Build-a-Bears being quite this cute. She's pink, has eyelashes, a crown on her head and to top it all off, has the Disney princesses on her paw!

I finally broke down and purchased the Aurora journal, pen and mug from the Disney Designer Princess collection:

They cost a pretty penny on eBay, but I'd been really wanting them for a long time and was unable to purchase them in stores.

Speaking of the Disney Designer Princess Collection, I'm so happy I was able to order my own Ariel doll when she was available on the Disney Store website. She's going for over $400 right now on eBay!

I also purchased four tiny, white ceramic bunny rabbits from eBay. Here's a picture of two of them that I found on Tumblr a while ago:

In other news, Jen brought my attention to the new "Snow White and the Huntsman" trailer, and I'm so happy she did. This movie is now at the very top of my must-see list!

Although on Thomas Kinkade's official blog, it is stated the above image is not the "finalized image," I'd venture to assume it's pretty close. I learned not too long ago Sleeping Beauty was rumored to be the next release in Kinkade's "Disney Dreams Collection" on the Disney Princess LiveJournal Community and was, of course, very excited. Thomas Kinkade is one of my favorite painters, and Sleeping Beauty, as most of you already know, is one of my favorite Disney movies.

What do you think of Kinkade's interpretation of Sleeping Beauty? :)

The Disney Princess Designer Collection has turned out to be a huge hit - so much so, in fact, that Disney has been coerced into releasing all five remaining dolls from the line on the same day (in stores on October 17th and online on October 18th). As far as I know, it has not been revealed at what time they will be released online.

I was lucky enough to obtain my own Ariel, but I'm really hoping to purchase an Aurora for my collection as well. Something tells me these beautiful dolls may sell out within the first hour or so of being offered online...

The DisneyStore.com order I placed on the 20th finally came in today! The Ariel pillow is so, so amazing in person. It's incredibly soft, just the right size, the embroidery is really well done, and it looks just like her. I couldn't be happier with it!

The "Medical" Vinylmation figure I ordered is also adorable. It came with a small Mickey charm with a blue Staff of Asclepius on it (which is the one I wanted of the ones available). I looked at the DisneyStore.com website today and the "Medical" Vinylmation figure doesn't seem to be available anymore, so I guess I got it just in time! ;)

If you haven't heard already, DisneyStore.com is releasing a line of limited edition collectible dolls, clothing, stationery items, etc. based on a series of 1950's inspired sketches of the Disney princesses. (Click here to see what's available in the line so far.) Each Monday through October 24th, a new princess doll is released. Cinderella was released first, and guess who was released today? My favorite - Ariel! She's pretty expensive, but I knew I would regret it if I didn't get her before she sold out (and from what I've heard, she's expected to sell out pretty quickly). Every since I purchased the 17" singing Ariel doll from DisneyStore.com (hush, she's beautiful), I've been getting an inordinate amount of e-mails from "the mouse," telling me about the latest products to go on sale. I've been meaning to unsubscribe, but today, I must say I'm glad that I haven't yet because otherwise, I would not have known about these two amazing (and so very me) products:

Don't even try to tell me this wasn't an absolute must-have! I saw a picture of a full body-length Ariel pillow (probably over a year ago) from the Tokyo DisneySea theme park and have been pining over it ever since. Unfortunately, that pillow just does not seem to exist on this side of the globe. After tirelessly searching for that pillow with no success, I was extremely happy to find the above one (and to find it on sale too!). I'm already obsessed with her. ♥

Vinylmation "Occupations Series" - Medical

I don't own any Vinylmations (I wasn't into the whole Disney pin trading craze either), but when I saw the above one, I had no choice but to add it to my collection. I mean hello, if this isn't me, I don't know what is. ;)

The first week of medical school went pretty well by the way. I've never been this busy in my entire life. Sleep is something I look forward to now more than anything. We had our first quiz in histology on Friday and while I did do well on it, so did most of the students in our class. Even the average was an 89%! I'll admit I'm not used to being surrounded by so many intensely hardworking people. It's a little intimidating and, if I'm being completely honest, doesn't make me feel nearly as "special" as I'm used to feeling in a classroom setting. Every single person here was at the top of their class as an undergraduate. This could turn out to be a really good thing, however, because it can encourage me to work that much harder to be at the top of my class. I swear though, these students are so hyper-focused that we very well all may be getting 4.0's. It's really that intense. Even the second-year students were surprised by the degree of our class's focus in only the first week of medical school.

I decided to stop by one of my favorite stores for interior decorating today, Hobby Lobby. I went in only intending to purchase a black crown wall art piece I'd had my eye on for a while, but somehow ended up with a few more items in my shopping basket. It's funny how that happens. ;)

I must be on a crown kick, huh? ;) This was just too cute to pass up though. The black strip of fabric behind the frames is made out of crushed velvet. :) I plan on inserting black-and-white photos of my animals (i.e., of Edmund, Julian and Hamlet) into the frames.

Not crown-related, but I ran across this crystal lotus flower candleholder and thought it was so, so lovely:

*sigh* It looks even better on my black bookshelf. :)

On the way home, I stopped by Walgreen's for a new mascara:

Also, here are a few fairly recent purchases I've made for my bedroom if any of you are interested:

I used to have a black chandelier wall decal above my bed, but I liked this ornate black mirror better for the space. (The mirror, in case you are wondering, is from Home Goods.) I do plan on purchasing another chandelier wall decal, however, and putting it on a different wall in my new apartment. It was super cute, just too small for the area above my bed. :)

I found this at Bed, Bath & Beyond for a really good price. Sure, the whole "Keep calm and carry on" message may be a tad overdone, but I, personally, still love it and think it looks really good in my room. :)

I moved this frame to another wall (above my bookshelf) and added the letters from Hobby Lobby. (I'm still not sure if I'm going to keep those silver pieces of paper in there or replace them with more black-and-white photos...)

These pieces are also from Hobby Lobby. They're on the wall the picture frame with the letters was initially on.
